Writing background

I was raised by authors, studied writing in college, edited award winning novels and short stories, dabbled in personal writing (some of which has been published), and even taught my own creative writing course. I’ve been the audio-engineer on several audio books aside from those I’ve narrated, and I’ve been a consultant for up-and-coming writers of all ages. All told, I’ve been involved in creating books at every step in the process.

Services Breakdown

 

As the producer of your audiobook, I handle every step in the process of audio creation. I will read, narrate, proof, edit, and master each chapter. Then, I will turn the completed files over to you, or the hosting platform of your choice.

I am not responsible for managing multiple narrators or inserting music or sound effects.

STUDIO: Home recording studio. Sound treated.

EQUIPMENT: Focusrite Scarlett Solo, Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Studio XLR Microphone, and pop filter.

SOFTWARE: Pro-tools, Reaper, Izotope RX-8 Standard.

Setup:

Sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, YA, fiction, non-fiction, biography, etc.

Genres:

Gruff, gravely, masculine, deep, bold, smooth, young, wistful, intense, etc.

Vocal Styles:

English, Italian, Southern, General American, Indian, German, Russian, French, Irish, Scottish, etc.

Dialects:

PRICE: $125 per finished hour.

TURNAROUND: 1-1.5 months for a 7 hour book.

  • Longer books may obviously take longer.

  • Production time may vary depending on the demands of each specific project.

  • This turnaround time only covers production- it does not include extra time if you request changes, nor the time it takes for the audio book to become available for sale.

  • Depending on my current booking, I may not be able to begin your project immediately.
